Welcome!

Troop 237 serves Frankfort Square and surrounding communities. The troop serves the needs of Hilda Walker Intermediate School and our sponsor, the Frankfort Square Park District. Through our active boys, active leaders, and active parents we provide a safe, fun environment that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.

Troop 237 meets at 7:30 PM every Monday at the Frankfort Square Park District building located at 7540 West Braemar Lane, Frankfort, IL.

FUNDRAISER FOR NEW TRAILER

The fundraiser for the purchase of our new trailer is underway. We have mailed out letters to many Frankfort area businesses in hopes of obtaining funds. We hope that they help this Troop move forward and allow us to better serve the young men of Troop 237. Click on New Trailer Fundraiser above for information. Attention: No Troop Meeting on 5/19
Due to a scheduling conflict with the park district, there will not be a Troop meeting on Monday, May 19th. We will still have C.E.R.T. training for those individuals involved in that.

Class B Uniforms after Memorial Day
Scouts are allowed to wear their Class B uniforms to troop meetings after Memorial Day. A Class B uniform is a Scout Tshirt, shorts or pants, and shoes and socks. Sandles and flip-flop shoes are discouraged because last year we had many hurt toes and feet. Travel to scout events will still require Class A Uniform shirts.

Caps and Tshirts are in Stock !
Troop caps and Tshirts will be available for pickup at our Troop meeting each Monday in May.

Final Payment Due for Summer Camp
The boys have chosen Lost Lake for the 2008 Summer Camp. Camp will be June 22nd through 28th. More details to come. FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE BY 5/19/08

Have some free time? Why not help us out?
If you are able to help out the troop just let Mr. McCully know! There are many things available from addressing envelopes to keeping this website up to date. They don't require a huge committment in time or effort and any help will make scouting for your son even more enjoyable.

Boy Scouting is open to any boy between the ages of 11 and 18. For more information please feel free to drop us an email or visit one of our weekly meetings.

Scouting is for parents, too!
Active, committed Leaders and parents are the heart and soul of a successful Troop. You don't need to have any special abilities to make a huge difference in a young man's life. Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!
